[Changwon=Newsis] Reporter Hong Jung-myung = On the 18th, Gyeongnam Techno Park (CEO Noh Chung-sik) reported that six aviation-related SMEs from the province took part in the '2022 Aerospace and Defense Supplier Summit (2022 ADSS)' in Seattle, USA from the 11th to 13th of this month (local time) and secured export consultation results totaling $50.13 million.

Over 500 companies from 21 countries took part in the 2022 ADSS event. Six companies from the province had a total of 34 meetings with overseas buyers, including Boeing from the U.S. and Embraer from Brazil, worth a total of $50.13 million in exports.

In the event, which was held both online and offline due to the COVID-19 pandemic, three companies, YoungPoong Electronics, Kencoa Aerospace, and Hize Aero, participated in Seattle, and three companies, SewooAir, CNL, and Korea Non-Ferrous Metals, participated online.

Gyeongnam TP partnered with KOTRA's Silicon Valley Trade Center to assist local businesses in their online bidding efforts due to inability to send staff to Seattle.

Consul General SeoEun-ji from the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Seattle visited the Gyeongnam Pavilion booth to support entrepreneurs. She also organized a private luncheon to discuss their business situation and difficulties.

"Thanks to the assistance of Gyeongnam TP, we were able to arrange the B2B meetings we had hoped for, and we anticipate that YoungPoong will become a collaborative partner with our key customers," stated Ryu Yun-jung, Manager of YoungPoong Electronics, who attended the event.
While offline marketing efforts were approached with caution, it was significant for us to establish a booth in Seattle and partner with KOTRA's local trade office to assist local aviation companies in their online and offline marketing efforts, ultimately reaching our goals”, said Noh Chung-sik, Director of Gyeongnam TP.
