AC POWER DISTRIBUTION

Based on our extensive experience in developing power distributions for the Korean Utility Helicopter (KUH) and Light Armed Helicopter (LAH), we have successfully contributed to the development of the power distribution system for the Korean Fighter KF-21. Our work has led to the achievement of a
combat suitability assessment, and we are now preparing for mass production, with plans to commence in early 2025.

Overview

AC EMU (Electrical Master Unit)

The power distribution unit is a major component of the Korean Fighter(KF-21). It takes input from both the left and right alternator, as well as external power sources, engaging the alternator during flight and connecting to external power while on the ground to supply power to the aircraft's onboard equipment.
In an emergency, the battery is connected to start the engine and supply power to essential flight equipment.
The Mission Computer and electrical system equipment receive information about operational and power status through communication with the 1553B/CAN. The malfunction logs are transferred to ground support equipment by downloading them through RS422 communication.
