Industry-academia collaboration between Dong-A University and YoungPoong Electronics


Cooperation in the field of specialization via the use of 4th industrial technology and information, fostering experts for companies

On the first day, Dong-A University (President Lee Hae-woo) announced a new business agreement with YoungPoong Electronics to work together in connecting industry and academia and developing talented personnel. 


Participants at the recent signing ceremony at YoungPoong Electronics in Changwon, Gyeongnam, are President Lee, CEO Ryu, Yoon Gap-sik, Dean of Student and Employment Support at Dong-A University, Kim Sung-jae, Director of Industry-Academia Cooperation Center, Shim Im-bo, Professor of Mechanical Engineering, Ha Hong, Vice President of YoungPoong Electronics, and Kim Dong-won, Head of Production division from YoungPoong Electronics. 


Under the agreement, the two institutions will collaborate in industry-academia cooperation, facility and resource sharing, on-the-job training, faculty on-the-job training, enterprise-tailored professional training and employment creation in the field of specialization through technology and information activities in the 4th industry. 

At the signing ceremony, President Lee said, “Since my inauguration, I have consistently emphasized the importance of industry-academia cooperation. The collaboration between the two organizations will serve as an opportunity to foster talent and contribute to industry and regional development.” 


CEO Ryu said,Despite being a small company, we are deeply involved in a variety of business endeavors with many researchers. We look forward to partnering with Dong-A University to ensure the success of our joint industry-academia program.”
